1 June 2025 – 1 September 2025

Summer Smasher Campaign Creative, includes a golden retriever wearing some pixel sunglasses, a blue starburst in the background, a yellow smiley face, yellow hang loose hand, a hello my name is label with the word cool on top and a white lightning strike.

CrewLAB’s Summer Smasher Challenge is designed to keep athletes engaged and provide all the tools needed to track training and stay connected throughout the off-season.

CrewLAB gives your team a private space to share training logs with photos, like and comment on others’ posts, and track everything through an automatic point system. This keeps training transparent among the team, allowing athletes to hold each other accountable and stay motivated through friendly competition.

“It gives you a sense of community with the privacy of just your own team and made training apart more personable.”

Let's check out the benefits

No more spreadsheets

All team training data will be stored in CrewLAB, and the team leaderboard will be automatically populated in the app.

Increased accountability

Athletes can view each other’s training posts, engage with, and motivate one another, even when apart.

Your team will train more

Every team participating in our previous challenges has seen an increase in offseason training consistency and motivation.

No coach involvement needed

Team captains can manage the challenge independently. Coaches can have a peace of mind knowing their team is keeping each other accountable while staying compliant with off-season rules. (NCAA/IRA friendly)

How does the challenge work?

Getting started

The challenge begins on June 1 and ends on September 1. All existing CrewLAB app users will be automatically enrolled and grouped into squads (smaller teams within the whole roster) two weeks before the start date, on May 18, 2025.

If you are new to CrewLAB and sign up after May 18th, you will be automatically enrolled in the challenge, but will need to create squads manually. Coaches or captains can do that using the CrewLAB web portal. Watch a tutorial on how to create squads here.

On June 1, the Analytics tab in the CrewLAB app will switch to display the challenge’s progress and leaderboard points. All squads in your team will be displayed in a chart and compete against each other.

At the end of the challenge, the winning squad, top athletes, and those most engaged with team photos and likes will be celebrated in a Summer Smasher recap.

“CrewLAB has kept us very accountable during the off-season, more so than in the past years without it.”

Leaderboards

  • For the first hour of training completed each day, point earnings are boosted by 33%.
  • For the third hour of training completed each day, point earnings will be reduced by 50%.
