Summer Smasher

Introduction 🌴

The CrewLAB Summer Smasher Challenge is an engaging within-team competition designed to keep your team connected, motivated, and on track throughout the summer off-season.

Running from June 1 through August 30, this challenge offers a structured and fun way to compete against your teammates by rewarding points for social engagement, daily habits, and physically preparing to perform better than ever in the upcoming season while staying injury-free.

Here’s everything you need to know.

Joining

All existing CrewLAB teams are automatically enrolled in Summer Smasher.

New to CrewLAB? Download the app, create a team, and you will be automatically enrolled.

How it’s set up

Your team is organized into Squads — smaller groups that compete against each other on the leaderboard. Coaches and captains can rename and reorganize Squads before the challenge begins. Points move with athletes if Squads are reorganized, so no one loses progress.

The leaderboard goes live on June 1 in the Analytics tab. Individual and Squad standings update in real time throughout the summer.

Partner Challenges

Throughout the summer, CrewLAB will drop partner challenges — special competitions with unique ways to earn points and win special prizes. Challenges will be announced in the app and on the CrewLAB Instagram (@crewlab.io). Make sure your notifications are on so you don’t miss them.

What happens at the end

When the challenge closes on August 30:

  • Team recaps are delivered in-app — total workouts logged, top athletes, squad standings, and highlights from your summer.
  • Winners are celebrated — top teams and squads are recognized across the CrewLAB community.
  • Social shoutouts — standout performances get featured on the CrewLAB Instagram throughout the summer and at the close of the challenge.

Compliance

Summer Smasher is fully compliant with NCAA, IRA, and ACRA guidelines. No coach supervision is required. Captains can run the challenge independently. CrewLAB never sells or shares your data.
