Your onboarding call is a working session — not a demo. By the end, you’ll have your first real payment item live and ready for athletes. Here’s what to have ready:

Book your onboarding call with David

30 minutes. We’ll set everything up together, live. You’ll walk away with payments working — not a follow-up email.

Have your org info ready

Bring your organization’s EIN, bank account details, and a contact email for the org. We’ll handle the rest on the call.

Know what you want athletes to pay for first

Dues, registration, regatta fees, gear — pick the one thing that’s top of mind. We’ll build it live and you can test it with a real athlete before we hang up.

What the timeline looks like.

Phase 1 — Onboarding (Month 1)
Week 1

Onboarding & First Payment

30-minute live call with David. Set up your payment account, create your first payment item, and send it to an athlete. You leave with something real — not a promise.

Weeks 2–3

Collect & Learn

Run payments for real. Dues, registration, gear — whatever makes sense for your program right now. We check in, answer questions, and start collecting feedback.

Week 4

Feedback & Iteration

Product sessions with our engineering team. Tell us what’s working, what’s not, what’s missing. Watch your requests actually get built.

Phase 2 — Building Together (Months 2–3)
Months 2–3

Deep Product Partnership

The weekly cadence winds down, but the relationship deepens. You keep direct access to David and the engineering team. Feature requests, feedback sessions, and real product influence — your input is shaping what gets built next.

Phase 3 — Sustained Support (Months 4–12)
Months 4–11

Priority Access, Lower Touch

You’re running. We’re here when you need us. Priority support, early access to new features, and your Innovator rate locked in. We check in periodically and you keep us in the loop.

Case Study & What’s Next

A conversation about your experience and where things go from here. If you’re willing, we tell the story together. We figure out the right plan going forward — together.

What if I already have a payment system?

Most Innovator teams do. You don’t need to switch anything overnight. Start with one fee — registration, gear, whatever — and see how it compares.

Do my athletes need to download anything?

If they’re already on CrewLAB, payments show up in-app. If not, they get a link. No new app required.

How long does payment setup take?

About 25 minutes on the call if you have your org info (EIN + bank details) handy. We do it together — you’re not figuring it out alone.

Can my athletes pay with ACH instead of credit cards?

Yes. ACH processing is 0.8% vs 2.9% for credit cards. You can offer both and let athletes choose, or set a default. We’ll walk through the options on your onboarding call.

What if something goes wrong?

You have a direct line to David and the engineering team. You’re not going through a support queue — you’re talking to the people who built it.

What happens after Month 1?

The program moves into Phase 2 (Months 2–3) — continued product partnership with the engineering team. Then Phase 3 carries you through the rest of the year with priority support and your Innovator rate locked in.
