How to add CrewLAB registration to your Wix or Squarespace website

Quick answer: Adding CrewLAB registration to your Wix or Squarespace website does not mean rebuilding your site. Keep the Wix or Squarespace site you already have, copy your Club Shop link from CrewLAB, and add a button that points to it. Members click the button, land on your public Club Shop page, and register and pay there — no CrewLAB account or login required for them. It takes about five minutes.

Do this on a computer, not your phone. You will be flipping between two browser tabs — CrewLAB in one, your website editor in the other — and it is far easier on a laptop or desktop than on mobile.

What you will need

Two browser tabs open side by side:

  • Tab 1: CrewLAB (app.crewlab.io), logged into the right club.
  • Tab 2: your website editor (Wix or Squarespace), on the page where the “Register” button will go.

Step-by-step: adding CrewLAB registration

1. In CrewLAB, get to your Club Shop — in the Club space

This has to be done from your Club space, not a Team space.

  • In app.crewlab.io, click your club/team name in the top-left corner to open the space switcher.
  • Choose your club (for example “CrewLAB Interstellar”) — not a team inside it. The Club Shop and its share link live at the club level.
  • Then open the Payments tab. You will see your Club Shop with your Programs.

2. In your website editor, get to the button

In your other tab, open the page where you want the Register button, and either add a new button or select the existing button you want to update, so you can see where its link setting is:

  • Squarespace: add a Button block, then in its settings click Link and choose External — that is the box the link goes in.
  • Wix: add or select a Button, click the Link (chain) icon, and choose Web Address — that is the box the link goes in.

On the Payments page, click the share icon at the top-right of the Club Shop (“Copy Club Shop link”). You will see a “Club Shop link copied” confirmation — it is now on your clipboard. The link is long and scrambled, which is normal (it is encoded). It opens your public, externally-facing Club Shop (“Powered by CrewLAB”), where anyone — no login needed — can see your open programs, pick one, and hit Register.

4. Flip back to your website and paste

Paste the copied link into the button’s link field (Squarespace: the External box; Wix: the Web Address box). Paste it whole, exactly as copied — do not trim the characters at the end. Turn on Open in a new tab, label the button (for example “Register Now”), and Save.

5. Test it, publish, then test again

  • Test in preview: click the button and confirm it opens your Club Shop.
  • Publish your site.
  • Test the live button immediately — click it on the published site to confirm real visitors land on registration.

That is the whole integration: your existing site, one button, straight into CrewLAB registration and payment.

Where to put the button (our UX recommendation)

Make CrewLAB registration the easiest thing to do on your site:

  • Put a “Register” button on your home page, high up where visitors see it first.
  • Add it to your main site navigation as well.
  • Treat it as the primary call to action on the site — the single most obvious next step, styled to stand out.
  • Name it for the action: “Register,” “Sign Up,” or “Join the Club.”
  • One button is enough — the Club Shop link shows all your open programs.

Optional (advanced): show registration inside a page

Prefer registration to appear embedded within one of your own pages instead of linking out? You can try an inline embed — but read the caveat first.

  • Squarespace: use a Code Block (not the Embed Block) with an iframe pointing at your Club Shop link. Iframes in Code Blocks require a paid Squarespace plan, and embedded code often will not render while you are logged into the editor — test in a private window.
  • Wix: use Add Elements → Embed Code → Embed a Site (or Embed HTML) and paste your link; the URL must be https://.

The catch: the Club Shop page is public, so it may display in an embed — but the moment a member reaches the payment/checkout step, that is a secure page that typically may not be shown inside another website. So an embed can load the shop and then break at checkout, or show a blank box or “refused to connect,” and neither Wix nor Squarespace can override that. For most clubs the button link is the right approach — simpler, always works, and keeps checkout on CrewLAB’s secure page.

Quick troubleshooting

  • Cannot find Payments / the share icon: You are probably in a Team space. Switch to the Club space via the name in the top-left, then open Payments.
  • Button goes nowhere / 404: Re-copy the Club Shop link and paste it again without editing it.
  • It is fiddly on your phone: Switch to a computer — much easier with two tabs on a bigger screen.
  • Embed shows a blank box or “refused to connect”: The checkout page cannot be framed — use the button link instead.
  • Wix will not accept the embed: Confirm the link is https://.

FAQ

Do I need to move my website to CrewLAB?
No. Keep your Wix or Squarespace site. You just add a button that links to CrewLAB registration on your Club Shop, where sign-up and payment happen.

Where do I get the link?
In CrewLAB’s Club space, go to Payments and click the Copy Club Shop link icon at the top-right of the Club Shop.

Why can’t I find the share link?
You are likely in a Team space. The Club Shop link lives in the Club space — switch spaces using the name in the top-left corner of the app.

Do participants need a CrewLAB account to register?
No. The Club Shop link opens a public registration page — anyone can register and pay without creating a CrewLAB login.

Can I do this on my phone?
You can, but we strongly recommend a computer — flipping between CrewLAB and your website editor is far easier on a laptop or desktop.

Do I need a paid Wix or Squarespace plan?
Not for a linked button. (An inline iframe embed would require a paid Squarespace plan, but most clubs do not need that.)
